This project has helped us use AI in the way I think it is most useful for advice services: not to replace advisers, but to give them better tools.

Structured records, shaped around frontline advice

Wyser turns recorded advice conversations into structured draft case notes. Instead of beginning with a blank page after each call, advisers receive a clear record they can check, amend and approve before saving it into AdvicePro.

The implementation was developed collaboratively. Accommodation Concern shared its case-recording requirements and quality-assurance processes, helping Wyser shape templates around real debt, housing and welfare-benefits work rather than a generic note-taking structure.

From 45 minutes of administration to around five

Early evidence indicates that write-up time for a one-hour advice call has fallen by 88%, saving around 40 minutes of adviser time after each conversation.

With approximately 9,200 transcription minutes processed each month, this creates the potential to return around 102 hours to advisers as the system becomes fully embedded.

The benefits extend beyond time savings. It gives advisers valuable space to decompress between difficult conversations and be fully present with the person in front of them, rather than thinking ahead to the paperwork still to come. It also gives supervisors more time to support and develop their teams instead of correcting case notes. By reducing the administrative burden, Accommodation Concern can create more sustainable workloads, support adviser wellbeing and protect the people doing this vital work.

Supporting broader service transformation

The Wyser implementation formed part of Accommodation Concern’s wider work through the Money and Pensions Service Debt Advice Modernisation Fund 2025/26.

Alongside AI-supported case notes, the programme included digital onboarding and closer AdvicePro integration. These broader outcomes show the value of combining better access, stronger systems and more effective use of adviser time.

Making better use of the time saved

Accommodation Concern plans to continue refining its templates, glossary and staff guidance across debt, housing and welfare-benefits work.

The next phase will gather longer-term evidence on adviser capacity, case progression, client engagement and quality outcomes, while exploring how structured records could further support supervision and Advice Quality Standard compliance.
